Letting Go With Love – Awakening

My new mantra – letting go with love. Awakening through letting go.

Letting go isn’t new. One way or another, we are in the process of letting go of something all the time, I think. Whether it is a physical transition through age or an emotional release associated to a change or finding a way to evolve a belief toward more fulfillment, letting go of “what was” has been a precursor to the new state of Being from the moment we left the womb. I’ve known that for a long time.

Coutd It Be The Solar Flares? – Awakening

Something is happening within my Being. Soft and subtle – almost imperceptible – like the unfurling of a bud into a new Spring leaf. Something is unfurling within me.

Like a whispering breeze, I didn’t notice at first, the shifts happening in my perceptions. My day, filled with projects and items to check off the list, proceeded as usual. I almost missed it. Until I chanced to rest from the activity for a moment and feel… the gentle caress of a softening within. An easing of mind chatter and an absence of the “push” to achieve. An abiding sense of Grace. Impatient to Awaken?

These days, the prophecies scroll through my inbox and Facebook wall: dates for “downloads” of a new frequency, days to gather for special focus to bring the “new order” closer, leaders of the movement offering “new” information on what’s to come…Does anyone besides me ever think, “Let’s just ready, get set, go!” Or am I the only one who feels impatient?

Impatience has been my traveling companion through Life for as long as I can remember. Sometimes an obstacle in my process and sometimes the trainer that pushes me to get it done, impatience is always my teacher. Teaching me the way around or over the obstacle. Teaching me how to create new solutions that work more effectively. Teaching me when my best solution is to let go and let be.

I first read the Hopi Prophecies in the early 1980’s…and then the Mayan prophecies in the early 1990’s. 2013 seems like “forever away” back in those days. Continue reading “Impatient to Awaken?”

Creative Time Management

Some might say time management, a distinctly left-brained activity, bears no resemblance to the creative process – well known for its decidedly right-brained absence of logic. Some might say, in fact, that all one requires to effectively manage time are three simple rules:

Break large projects into smaller increments. Make those increments small enough that each one can be completed in a block of time perceived as “manageable.”
Build a daily schedule that accounts for the completion of the smaller increments. Identify through an understanding of personal rhythm which parts of the day are best for mental focus and which for physical activity. Fill blocks of time accordingly.
Once the schedule is made – stay on it. Procrastination is the destroyer of time management.

Creative Process and Perfection?

In the creative process, I think, there is no such thing as perfection. There are only perfect bridges.

Think about it. Have you ever had an idea – something that excited your interest and passion – only to discover that, when it came to execute, you couldn’t quite get a handle on how to do it? And the uncertainty resulted in non-action as well as a small sense of failure before you got well into it?

It’s happened to me plenty of times – that’s why I can describe it so easily. At a certain point, I began to ask myself, “Why? 40 Days Done – John of God

According to the protocols at Casa Dom Ignacio, today marks the end of the 40 day post-spiritual surgery phase. Now, it is time to take stock and assess my John of God experience.

The first question I asked myself: Have I ever witnessed anyone having a “miraculous” physical healing experience in Abadiania? (I pondered this question because, for me, the process has proven incremental and more like the peeling away of layers than anything that could be considered instantaneous). I asked myself this question, expecting the answer to be no. But I surprised myself – I did witness one on this last trip in December. My partner, Alan, was prescribed the energetically charged herbs the one time he went before Medium Joao at the beginning of our experience. He spent the rest of his Casa days meditating in the Current room – no spiritual surgery for him at all. After the first day of meditation, he mentioned that he felt a lot of pain in his neck through the experience. He pointed to where the pain had been and I immediately noted that a bump (fairly large) he’d had in his spinal column at the base of his neck for as long as I’d known him – and probably since he’d had spinal meningitis as a young child – was gone. His spine was totally smooth and aligned… and has been that way since.

I think that qualifies as an instantaneous (aka miraculous) result.

But, like I said, for me it’s been different. Perhaps because in the almost 59 years I’ve been blessed with this body, I’ve adventured mightily and let Life take its toll – Hepatitus C found me while I was a street-kid, type 1 Diabetes in the aftermath of a high speed head-on automobile accident, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis came on the heels of a diabetic coma, two fractured vertebrae in a horse riding accident, and the multiple physical complications from all of the above just to mention the highlights. Some might say I’ve managed to stay alive this long on will and spiritual intervention (see: When I Died – A Story of Awakening).

And, as they say at Casa Dom Ignacio, the physical conditions are the “low hanging fruits”. The emotional traumas of childhood and an adolescence lived on the streets left their markers as well. Continue reading “40 Days Done – John of God”

Make It Right, Then Make It Better – Awakening

Ho’oponopono means “to make right” in the language of Polynesia. To make right means to clear the attachments that hold us in hard feelings and harsh judgements – to bring our focus into the “field beyond right and wrong” as Rumi says. It is one process among many for opening the heart and mind to the Soul’s presence; the flow of love and authentic kindness to and through us.

In my Life, the desire to find a way through these sticky energetic entanglements into the clear field of connected Love is a driving force. Both personally and professionally, all of my experience tracks back to this intention – to embody the ability within myself and to teach the power of “making it right” with others. Over the years, I’ve studied and practiced and shared numerous techniques: self reflection and analysis, meditation, ho’oponopono, Law of Attraction, Course in Miracles, Shamanic principles and practices, prayer, making wishes… and on and on. Always with the singular intention of alignment with a state of well-being and Grace.

Lit From Within – Awakening

I’ve seen them. These are the ones who seem to give off their own radiance as though the sun and stars shine inside their words and eyes and actions. It doesn’t matter what is happening around them, they engage with an alert curiosity. Everything to them is interesting. When they talk, their passion for life is infectious; by osmosis, it seems, an eagerness for living spreads to anyone nearby. Often, they are the success stories of our culture, but it isn’t the light shined on them by success that drives them. It is that they are lit from within.

And I ask myself what inspired the awakening of the inner light within them?

In our western culture, we are raised to look outward. To build our hopes and dreams based on what we see in the world around us. To measure our successes by the approval of the world around us. To define our worth in comparison to the world around us. But these people who are lit from within…they found another way, another focus, another source for inspiration and desire to find and guide them. Continue reading “Lit From Within – Awakening”

Stars In Our Own Movie – how life works with law of attraction

Recently, when asked by a friend why a particular relationship ended, I answered, “They were making their own movie, and I was making mine. At a certain point, it just became really clear that the role in which I was cast in their movie was out of alignment with the roles I play in my own.”

And that got me thinking.

We really are the stars of our own movies. We are the main character that drives the story. And as we engage the world around us, we are directors, writers, and casters of other players and their roles. We film the movie as we interpret the events and relationships and situations in which we find ourselves.

Secrets And Conscious Awareness – How Life Works

Most of us keep a few. We call it our right to privacy or nobody else’s business. We tell ourselves it’s too complex for other’s to understand; perhaps we fear the judgement that accompanies the lack of understanding. Most of us believe we are successful at keeping some aspect of our experience a secret. It’s the nature of the belief that we are all separate, distinct and engaged only through the five senses of our physicality, that lends power to the idea that we can keep secrets.

The good news is: this belief is as accurate as the belief that the world is flat is accurate. The bad news is for the secret-keepers: in the subtle realms of emotion and thought, we are all connected; secrets are impossible. Continue reading “Secrets And Conscious Awareness – How Life Works”
