A Spider’s Story – How Life Works

art, weaving worlds, spider, teacher withinBy my art desk, there is a window.  Six months ago, I noticed a large spider
weaving her web on the other side of the pane.  Day by day, she built a
net across the window as I wove colors into fabric a few feet away.  I developed a fondness for her; a sense of kinship as we created in silent harmony together.  A pane of glass maintained our clear boundary as we wove side by side – each in our own world.  After a rain, I exalted with her on a good ‘catch’ day and cheered for her as she succeeded in stashing a large ‘spider’ wealth of small flying creatures in her web.

Several months passed of our weaving camaraderie when she surprised me with a baby – one itsy bitsy identical reproduction of herself. Continue reading “A Spider’s Story – How Life Works”

Nature – The Infallible Teacher

Nature, learning, teacher, law of attractionLearning is the skill with which we are born.  From the moment (and perhaps even before) of first consciousness, we are gathering and integrating information.  Early on, our minds begin to formulate questions and seek answers.  It is a continual process, from figuring out how to take that first breath and throughout every experience of life.  And so, by association, do we have teachers all throughout our lives.  Whether by default or intention, there is always someone or some experience adding to the information we integrate to evolve.

Think about this:  In whatever circumstance we find ourselves engaging or whomever we find ourselves associating, the type of teacher/teaching  is defined. Continue reading “Nature – The Infallible Teacher”

Could Ho oponopono and Law of Attraction Be This Simple?

law of attraction, field of awareness, ho oponoponoEver since my first visit to John of God in February, 2011, I’ve made ho oponopono a practice to clear the energy of attachments holding me stuck in counter-productive patterns.  At first, I found myself going Within multiples times during every day to release feelings and judgements and projections as well as dissolve projections and judgments held against me in currents of light and love.  My strong desire to be a vessel open to the flow of love through me inspired me to practice and keep practicing until – whatever situation or relationship had me in loop of hard thoughts and feelings – disappeared, leaving only a current of love and appreciation.

John of God Vlog – Day 8; The Energies Build


Today at dinner, I heard people speaking German at one table and French at another.  A person went by on a bicycle speaking with an English accent.  Abadiania became an international hub overnight it seems.  Buses are bringing in groups of people as the moon builds to full, and the hum that is always in the air in Abadiania plays as a backdrop now to the voices that fill the town.

John of God, Abadiania, Casa Dom Ignacio, psychic healingTomorrow begins another cycle in The Casa with John of God.  We will sit in the Current room and meditate through the first session.  I’ve done this once before and experienced a series of unusual sensations along my spine.  I read and hear from others that the Entities are present and often do healings during the meditation.  I am willing.  I am also willing to support the healing of others as they engage with John of God and the Entities.  I am willing.

John of God Vlog – Day 5; Morning at ‘Home’


The John of God cycle at The Casa (Wednesday – Friday) is done, and we are into a new rhythm; Abadiania becomes ‘another’ place Saturday – Tuesday.  Everything slows to sleepy pace as the visitors to The Casa leave for home, and those of us remaining relax into the easy-going lifestyle of a small town.  It’s fun to watch the interactions of people who stay here for extended periods show up in the town after the ‘crowds’ leave to mingle and socialize.

John of God Vlog – Day 3 Scenes from The Casa


The Casa was open today, and I was there for both sessions.  Alan came to the first session where we joined the Revision line to see if we any further action since our last psychic surgery was required.  Alan zipped through with a blessing from the Entity; I was sent to get two more Crystal Baths.  Fine with me; >)

John of God Vlog – 2nd Day Settling In


The energies are having their way with us already.  I awakened in the middle of the night with a pulsing pressure in my right ankle and shin (a location where I am prone to experience nerve pain).  I wriggled and wiggled, but the pressure continued to grow…  until I lifted my whole leg and moved from my hip for a few minutes…  then I slept like a baby.  These types of things just seem to happen in Abadiania 😛  For Alan, the experiences are more emotionally insightful as bebops along, moving from one Chai latte to the next at Frutti’s.

Tomorrow, we begin the three day cycle with John of God at The Casa.  This is our first visit since our psychic surgeries; we go into the Revision line for the Entitites to determine if anything further need be done related to that intervention.  Alan is pretty sure they will send him to psychic surgery right away; he’s convinced that is his lot with John of God:P

Tonight, I will open my heart to receive anything and everything the Entities wish to bestow:)

John of God Vlog – Arrival in Abadiania


9000+ miles in in just under 17 hours; It’s a miracle of modern technology. We’re here! The 1.5 drive from the airport in Brasilia to Abadiania is a quiet time. Neither Alan or I have much to say after our red-eye flight so watch the Brazilian world go by in silence. Alan, I think, is sleeping with his eyes open. I am reflecting on the last time we drove this route and eagerly anticipating each marker along the road that I remember.

Law of Attraction Clarified – Introducing Law of Intention

The concept of ‘like attracts like’ isn’t new.  As far as I can tell, it’s as old as time.  Like gravity.

Perhaps, it wasn’t called The Law of Attraction in times past.  It might have been considered plain, common sense.  Just as with gravity – where we learn quickly what falling means and how consistently it occurs – law of attraction describes a simple and straightforward dynamic: Energy follows focus.  What we expect is what we attract.  The world view we hold is what shapes the interpretation of our experience.  As far as I can tell, it’s as consistent as gravity.

Why then, I wonder, are there so many books on the subject these days?  What makes law of attraction a movement now instead of – say – The Law of Gravity movement?  What is there to learn from this concept that requires years and years of study? John of God For the Second Time

John of God, healing, health and wellbeing, AbadianiaOne week from today, we are heading back to Brazil for a 12 day immersion into the healing energies of The Casa.  Our first trip was in February of this year, just four months ago..  and I have been eager to return almost since we arrived home.  We stayed only for a week the first time, and this time we arranged for the full 12 days recommended by most Casa guides.  This will allow us two cycles of the John of God experience.
