Prosperity and the Art of Prospering – How Life Works

prosperity, abundance, prosper, wealth, spiritual awakeningEveryone wants more of something; it’s the human condition.  When I was a child, I wanted more years under my belt.  Now that I have those years, I’d like more stamina and vitality like I had as a child.  It seems to be an inherent aspect of our nature to stand in the fulfillment of one desire and think about what more is desired.  And, for many, prosperity is high on the list of desires.

For anyone who travels beyond their neighborhood, it’s apparent that prosperity is a subjective experience.  I, for example, expect indoor plumbing.  Indeed, I expect two or more rooms in any place I call home to be dedicated to personal matters of hygiene.  However, when I lived on Lopez Island in the 80’s, indoor plumbing was a luxury.  Most of my friends had rigged showers and used outhouses.  And, because they owned the land that gave them such amenities, they felt quite prosperous.  In those days, I could – and did – claim entire forests for my ‘personal’ use and relished the freedom of it.  Values, really, are the determining factor of what defines prosperity. Could Ho oponopono and Law of Attraction Be This Simple?

law of attraction, field of awareness, ho oponoponoEver since my first visit to John of God in February, 2011, I’ve made ho oponopono a practice to clear the energy of attachments holding me stuck in counter-productive patterns.  At first, I found myself going Within multiples times during every day to release feelings and judgements and projections as well as dissolve projections and judgments held against me in currents of light and love.  My strong desire to be a vessel open to the flow of love through me inspired me to practice and keep practicing until – whatever situation or relationship had me in loop of hard thoughts and feelings – disappeared, leaving only a current of love and appreciation.

As you might imagine, I practiced a lot!  And I saw results. Continue reading “Could Ho oponopono and Law of Attraction Be This Simple?”

Persevere – Law of Intention Supports the Law of Attraction

law of attraction, law of intention, fulfillment, writer, authorPerseverance is not often associated with fun.  More likely, it’s categorized with hard work in the face of challenge.  Occasionally, I’ll meet someone who feels great esteem at their capacity to see a commitment through to completion no matter what the odds or obstacles.  More often, I find others -and myself – saying, “Why do this when it’s taking so long or feels so hard?  Why not find an easier path?

“Life is a journey,” many philosophers say, “It’s the process – not the destination – that defines who we are.”  Is it of more value to make each step of the journey fun then?  Or, can it be as rewarding to build the path as we travel it, cobblestone by cobblestone, creating a structure and form as we move through our days?  And, is it possible to make building a road fun? (see The World Needs Dreamers That Do – Law of Attraction in Action)

In the teachings of the Law of Attraction, it would seem that finding the path of moment to moment to moment happiness should attract the fulfillment of all desires.  If I am consistently happy, then I attract more and more experiences that enhance my happiness.  It’s as simple as that.  An irrefutable law.  If I find my way to the happy side of the street (see Happy For No Reason – Law of Attraction in Action), then all my dreams should come true.  Right? Law of Attraction Clarified – Introducing Law of Intention

The concept of ‘like attracts like’ isn’t new.  As far as I can tell, it’s as old as time.  Like gravity.

Perhaps, it wasn’t called The Law of Attraction in times past.  It might have been considered plain, common sense.  Just as with gravity – where we learn quickly what falling means and how consistently it occurs – law of attraction describes a simple and straightforward dynamic: Energy follows focus.  What we expect is what we attract.  The world view we hold is what shapes the interpretation of our experience.  As far as I can tell, it’s as consistent as gravity.

Why then, I wonder, are there so many books on the subject these days?  What makes law of attraction a movement now instead of – say – The Law of Gravity movement?  What is there to learn from this concept that requires years and years of study? Beyond Law of Attraction

law of attraction, ho oponopono, awakening, happinessLong before the term Law of Attraction made its way into Google searches, the idea of using positive focus to influence outcomes was gaining interest.  I wrote my thesis (so many years ago it seems like another life time) on the influence of perceptual bias as it relates to the results of a person’s goals.  I found study after study after study that proved visualizing success had as much impact – if not more – than practicing for success in sports.  I found reported ‘medical miracles’ that had in common with each other one significant factor – a positive faith/knowing on the part of the miracle’s recipient.

Long before the term Law of Attraction came into play, the law itself was evidenced and documented. Continue reading “Beyond Law of Attraction”

Make Peace with the Past to Change the Future – Forgive

Awakening, relationships, forgiveness, love, hooponopono, law of attraction“What’s done is done.”  That’s what my momma told me.  As a child, it was a concept bigger than my young mind could hold.  Now, with decades of experiences behind me I understand.

There are words spoken in anger, and meant only to express distress, that can never be erased.  They were said; and, reaching their target, linger long after the outburst.  There are actions taken – to get even – that create more animosity rather than settling any score.  There are the choices made that cause pain to others.  There are those of us bearing the scars of someone else’s choices that cause us to speak and act in hurtful ways.

The list is endless, and the cycle can repeat forever.

For many years, I sat in a rocker and listened to individuals and couples and families describe past pains and the way they felt stuck in the repetitiion of hurting.  I listened, and I watched as these patterns became the defining points of their personalities and character.  Over time, I realized that the clients who spent the most time reliving and thinking about the harm done them in the past took the longest to find solutions in their present circumstance.  And the people less inclined to delve and analyze were the easiest to help focus into the changes they desired.

They embody my mother’s early teaching: “What’s done is done.” Continue reading “Make Peace with the Past to Change the Future – Forgive”

The Answer is Always Available – Law of Attraction in Action

It’s funny, isn’t it?

law of attraction, awakening, how life works

There is always a question.

Perpetually, we seek solutions.  No matter how much we accomplish, figure out, and define as expertise…  Always, in some area of Life we seek answers.  No sooner does one solution fall into place, then two more questions pop into being.  That’s how Life works.

The questions on my mind right now is:  Why does uncertainty accompany the asking? Why, when we don’t know the answer, do we feel anxious that we won’t find the answer or driven to find what we don’t have yet?  How can standing in the question be fun and full of Grace? Evolution; Change is the Constant of an Awakening Mind

Have you noticed?

awakening, law of attraction, vortex, awakening mind, becomingSomething is always changing..  the sun across the sky, trends in fashion, what we eat for lunch, the newest type of smart-phone.  An endless array of shifting sands in the details of  day-to-day living.

Bodies change.  I watch as experience and gravity mold and remold my countenance and shape.  I call this the evolution of aging; some of the changes I welcome – like wisdom and a generally more accepting and relaxed perspective.  Some I find disorienting – Where did my capacity to jump and run and hike for miles and miles go?  Why didn’t I know then this is how it would be now?  Some changes take me by surprise. Inspired Action – Law of Attraction in Action

inspired action, meditation, law of attractionHow does one know when the impulse to act comes from inspiration?

There are those of us who leap to action at the slightest provocation..  from reaction.  In the lightning speed world of cyberspace, there are vast numbers of emails that go out because the send button gets clicked from this impulse.  You know if I’m talking to you.

On the other hand, some of us are so careful to make sure the choice we make is the ‘right’ one that an action impulse could come wrapped in a halo of clarity, and we would still wait, wondering if we are misreading the signs.

How does one know? Continue reading “Inspired Action – Law of Attraction in Action”

I See You – the Clear Field of Ho’oponopono

This note is for you, my friend (and you know who you are).

All I Am, awakening, law of attraction, ho'oponoponoI see you.  Not your education nor the Life experiences that shape your perspective.  I see you.

Peel away the layers of opinion.  Wipe away the distortions of the personality that settle like grime on glass.  Take away the defensive stances and declarations for limitation.  Release the impulse to hide behind any of it.

Because I see you.

Clear and fresh, flowing like a mountain spring.  Your clarity refreshes me and nourishes my sensibilities. Continue reading “I See You – the Clear Field of Ho’oponopono”
