John of God – Meeting Our Guide

John of God, healing, health and wellbeing, AbadianiaWhen we decided to make the trek to Brazil and visit John of God’s Casa, I considered the possibility of using a guide.  But not for very long.  Having led meditation groups around the world, I felt downright confident in my ability to navigate the process.  My friend felt differently, though, and she set us up with Immanuel (www.meetjohnofgod.com) who lives in Abadiania.

We met for dinner on our first day.  First, he described his story – how he came to John of God six years ago suffering from a seizure disorder that doctors prescribed anti-pyschotic drugs to treat.  He explained that the healing wasn’t instantaneous – and it required 100% participation on his part to resolve the emotional and mental issues in his life.  Today, he is seizure and medication free…  which was a very cool thing to hear!

Then we went over the questions we were planning to ask; he suggested we be very concrete and focus on the physical concerns first.  I told him my question (the one I put in a previous article), and he told me it was too general; that the Entities would only help with concerns that we identify specifically as they want us to be fully conscious of the process and our emotional/mental participation.

He suggested we make lists of areas where we have desires and notice where the absence of fulfillment of those desires related to a pattern in our behavior…  then ask for help releasing that pattern.  Interesting idea, eh? With our assignments to create our questions clear, we parted.  Already, I was appreciating his insights and depth his experience brought to us.

John of God, Abadiania, healing, diabetes, spine injuryBy the way, no TV in Abadiania.  Nightlife is the local Juice Bar, Frutti’s.  Off we went.

Stay tuned…  Tomorrow is our first day at the Casa.
