Faith in the Future – Optimism in Politics

politics, optimism, faith, law of attractionWhat a gift the future is! Indeed, it’s the present wrapped in tantalizing papers and bows awaiting the perfect moment of ‘presentation’.

The future beckons. We are like the flowers unfurling in the NOW of this moment while we ever turn towards the sun. The future is like the sun, attracting us towards it with the promise of nourishing light.

And, still, there is the paradox. There is always some amount of faith required to enjoy the promises of the future. The flower must continue to evolve through the night, trusting the warmth of the sun to reappear.

The temptation to worry is the option that wends it way next to faith. Physics proves that perceptual bias determines whether light functions as a wave or a particle The choice between worry and faith determines our perceptions of the future.

When I was a child, I could barely stand the anticipation of ‘wrapped presents’. I was an expert at unwrapping and rewrapping and acting surprised. I just couldn’t wait to know. As an adult, I am Sedona, vortex, meditationperhaps the worst keeper of secrets when it comes to surprises and presents in recorded history. I can’t wait to tell.

The future is the gift that can’t be secretly unwrapped and put back under the tree. The future is the surprise that can be conjectured but never blurted. The future is always the beckoning promise; the opportunity to choose faith and eager anticipation for Life.

What a gift that is!
I love you. Thank you.
