December 21st, 2012 – Awakening

This journey started for me twenty years ago when I led a group to meditate in the Mayan ruins of the Yucatan. I searched out the less known – and on Summer Solstice, 1994, spent the day meditating at the top of a pyramid honoring Itzamma in a small village outside of Merida. When we came down, I was greeted by a man who told me he was a Mayan daykeeper. At the time, I had no idea what that was…. He started me on a journey of discovery into the Mayan Tzolk’in that culminates today.

Through all the speculation and hype about what the ending of the Mayan calendar means, one truth – one word – resonates for me: Awakening. In my studies of this phenomenon, I learned that the Mayans foretold of this time as the awakening consciousness of our earth and solar system.

What that means… whether it is a stepping of the solar vibration to harmonize with a vast intelligence, whether it is a new multidimensional understanding of Life – a connection and ability to communicate with all life-forms – or whether it is a combination of factors that cause us to realize a paradigm beyond my current ability to describe… I’ll take it!

It’s very possible that most of us won’t notice anything different at all. Indeed, it’s probable that the infra-structures of society will show subtle changes – if any.

The shift is, I believe is within. Awakening to an inner world of vibrant vitality works for me. Awakening to a vibration that harmonizes with the cosmic Will to Good works for me. Realizing the capacity of the personality to join and mingle with Soul awareness to experience life through the mind of love – works for me.

Whatever life has been for you in the past six months – or year – I invite you to consider it was all a recalibration process preparing you for today. Think about it. Consider what learnings came through these past months of experience. Consider what desires were ignited and what changes were evoked – what changes are imminent…

Now, stand in this moment – today – withe me and sing out your appreciation and gratitude. Praise the flow of life through you and to you. Leap wholeheartedly into its current and let it take you where it will — into the paradigm of your Becoming into All I Am, All You Are, All We Become… from today forward. I invite you. Will you come?
